Extreme thought, like any cognitive system, is a social phenomenon that is influenced and influenced by other phenomena that are largely related to historical circumstances Political, religious, social, economic and other conditions facing society, that extremism is a reality whose impact on our contemporary societies is very much felt, yet there is a paucity of field social studies on this subject, To the society of Egypt according to the researcher’s knowledge, and because extremism in its various forms did not arise arbitrarily, but it has the causes and causes of objectivity, and it has risks that negatively affect the individual and the community and the structure of the community and its developmental goals, so the knowledge of the causes of extremism and its roots and its relationship with the political, economic, social, cultural, intellectual and security It is important to identify the causes of extremism in university youth, to know the types of extremism and its components, and to highlight the most important causes and factors (social, economic, political, family, religious, psychological). , Societal) that led to the radicalization of university youth, and the disclosure of the role of student activities in reducing extremism among university youth.
