المستخلص The aim of this study is to find the Professional family of the porcelain industry, by consensus of technicians, and conduct job analysis to know the mental abilities and personality traits required to perform these jobs, Extract the factors involved in mental abilities, personality traits, and experience, and find the ability of these variables in predicting the occupational adjustment of workers. The current study used exploratory and correlative descriptive method. The final sample consisted of (45) man/ woman workers of the production line of the French Company for the manufacture of porcelain (tableware), The mean age = (32.7) years, and a standard deviation = (10). The study tools are: Questionnaire identifying the basic jobs, Job analysis form, Abilities tests, Personality scales and the occupational adjustment scale. The results showed that there are (9) basic jobs, and (3) complementary jobs representing the professional family of the porcelain industry, and the results of the job analysis showed that there are mental abilities required for performance: General Intelligence, concentration on distracting things, Muscular persistence, Hand speed, Manual dexterity, Remember oral instructions and Hands coordination. The personality traits required for performance: General activity, Emotional stability. There are (4) factors involved in mental abilities and experiences after rotation and (5) Factors involved in personality traits and occupational adjustment (job satisfaction, satisfactionair) and experiences after rotation. Job satisfaction can be predicted through experience, concentration on distracting things and general activity, and satisfactionair can be predicted through manual dexterity and general activity. |
