Abstract Cesarean delivery (CD) is one of the most popular surgical events practiced globally. Its rate is approximately 15% of births around the globe and is climbing in frequency.Non-healing wounds denote a major public health concern and a substantial economic burden for the healthcare system.Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is becoming more popular as a non-operative treatment option for a broad spectrum of medical disorders.Hence, the aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of local injection of autologous platelet rich plasma in healing of disrupted surgical wounds at Obstetrics and Gynecology department.This study comprised 200 cases with disrupted surgical wounds after obstetrical or gynecological operations who admitted Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Tanta University Hospital and Kafr El Sheikh General Hospital during the period of research from March 2019 to March 2020. |
