المستخلص This study aims at identifying the relationship between wisdom and “the different leadership styles and job performance” of a sample of workers in some administrative jobs. It also aims at identifying the differences between male and female workers in some administrative jobs regarding wisdom, and the ability to predict wisdom through the positions of workers in some administrative jobs regarding leadership styles and job performance. The study was conducted on 180 male and female workers in some administrative positions with (90) male workers and (90) female workers, whose ages ranged between (40-55) years, with an average age of 47,65 years and a standard deviation of ± 4, 85. The researcher used the wisdom scale (researcher preparation), the leadership styles scale (prepared by the researcher herself) and the job performance scale (also prepared by the researcher). The researcher has verified the psychometric properties of the three scales in more than one way. The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between the total degree of wisdom and democratic leadership as there is a statistically significant negative relationship between the overall degree of wisdom and autocratic leadership, while there is no relationship between the overall degree of wisdom and free leadership. There is also a statistically positive relationship between the overall degree of wisdom and job performance. There are also statistically significant differences between males and females in the overall degree of wisdom in favor of males. The results of the regression analysis also showed that wisdom can be predicted through administrative creativity and democratic style. The results of the study were explained in the light of the theoretical framework, previous studies and the researcher’s point of view. The researcher came up with some recommendations along with further proposed researches. |
