Moreover, studying the possibility of removal of heavy metals residues (lead and cadmium) from raw milk by using chelating resin and evaluating the effect of treated milk by chelating resin on laboratory manufactured white soft cheese and yoghurt. All raw cow’s milk and Kareish cheese samples were contaminated with heavy metal and trace elements in various levels. These are mainly due to the high contamination of animal feed and water by such pollutants and could be excreted into milk and may be reached to milk through handling procedures. |
