Abstract

أ1. Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world and is expected to continue growing rapidly in the foreseeable future (FAO, 2018). Feed is the most expensive item in aquaculture industry subsequently continuous growth and intensification of aquaculture production depends upon the development of sustainable cheap protein sources to substitute fish meal (FM) in aquafeeds that is widely used as a source of proteins in aquafeeds industry (El-Sayed, 1999). Increasing manufacturing cost of FM allows feed manufacturers to search for alternative sustainable cheap sources of proteins other than FM such as plant proteins and their by-products (Tacon and Metian, 2015).Several alternative plant protein sources in tilapia diets have been investigated
