Abstract Medical image fusion is combining complementary information from multiple images into a single image. Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is one of the most important fusion techniques.The traditional DWT fails to preserve the source images’ details. In order to overcome these drawbacks, we used the fast filtering (FF) method to fuse the approximation coefficients. In our thesis, two proposedhybrid image fusion techniques: (DWT+FF) and (SWT+FF). These proposed techniques have been performed on two medical datasets, and compared for five of the other image fusion techniques and theexperiment results have shown that our proposed techniques evaluation is obviously superior. |
