Abstract An advanced organization are continuously looking for new ways of management Organizational support is the one of the most factors that help organization to meet the challenges of today’s dynamic business environment which reflect on job satisfaction. Aim: To examine the relationship between organizational support and job satisfaction among nurses at Port Said general hospitals. Design: A descriptive correlational design was used in this study. Sample: 187 nurses who responsible for providing direct nursing care to assigned patient. Setting: This study was conducted in all inpatients department at two hospitals affiliated to Ministry of health at Port Said city namely: Port Said general hospital and El-Zohour general hospital. Data collection Tools: two tools of data collection were used including: Perceived organizational support scale and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire. Results: more than two-thirds of study sample had inadequate organizational support, while only one- third had adequate organizational support, and majority of nurses were dissatisfied, while minority had satisfied. Conclusion: Organizational support and job satisfaction are positively correlated. Recommendations: the study recommended to apply the present study in different settings. Develop and apply educational program about organizational support for medical and nursing. |
