Abstract In conclusion, the use of conjunctival transplants either the free conjunctival autograft or the conjunctival rotational flap procedures same efficacy in decreasing the rate of recurrence after pterygium removal. Conjunctival rotational flap is an effective beneficial technique that possibly used as un alternate to the conjunctival autograft technique in case of patients in whose the use of superior conjunctiva is preferred (as a donor area), such as cases with superior filtering bleb, after cataract surgery (where the conjunctiva is firmly attached) with the same results and rate of recurrence. A larger, randomized, prospective multiple researches with more cases and a longer postoperative observation time will surely determine the advantages of one technique over the other. |
