Abstract The current thesis is divided into 3 studies. First we utilized 4 plants (chilli, ghoded, homed, and Onion), metals (silver and gold) and semiconductor nanoparticles (TiO2, ZnO, Mg (Fe3O4)) for green fabricated and characterization of nanoparticles composites. These composites investigated for its photocatalytic and bio-medical applications Second, we investigated the plants A. lappa and A. zeurmbet with the objective to isolate, purify and elucidate the structures of the compounds as a part of our ongoing project for bioactivity directed fractionation of medicinal plants. Thirdly, we evaluated some of foodstuffs plants (dill, parsley, celery, anise, caraway) for essential oil extraction and elucidate the structures of compounds using GC-MS . The present research work has aimed at:- 1. Green synthesis of nanoparticles from some plants 2. Isolation and purification of the bioactive compound(s). 3. Elucidation of the structure using NMR and LC/MS/MS |
