Abstract A total of 210 shell diseased shrimps were collected and taken alive from Port-Said Governorate from January to October 2016 and subjected to bacteriological examinations which revealed that isolation of 732 isolates from shrimp organs and were identified to Vibrio alginolyticus, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Aeromonas hydrophila and Aeromonas sobria. The number of isolates for Vibrio alginolyticus was 568 isolates by incidence of 77.59%, Vibrio parahemolyticus was 131 isolates (17.89%), Aeromonas hydrophila was 21 isolates (2.86%), and Aeromonas sobria was 12 isolates (1.63%).It was found that the isolates were highly isolated from the muscles while it was less isolated from the hepatopancreas .Studies on the pathogenicity of the isolated microorganisms revealed that, Vibrio alginolyticus and Vibrio parahemolyticus appear to be highly virulent gave 100% mortality in 60 hrs. All isolates were most sensitive to Norofloxacin and Ciprofloxacin. The histopathological studies among naturally infected shrimps revealed changes in muscles, gills and hepatopancreas. PCR protocol used for amplification and detection of 16S rRNA gene for all Vibrio isolates and gyrB gene, toxR and ompK virulence genes for V. alginolyticus and flaE gene, tdh and tlh virulence genes for V. parahaemolyticus isolates to confirm the diagnosis of these isolates. |
