المستخلص The phenomenon of sexual harassment is one of the issues that has recently gained the concern of many academic and societal circles at all levels when this phenomenon has been growing in our Arab communities. Moreover, this phenomenon has increased in various educational institutions among countries being made manifest in universities due to different behavioral standards. This has led to considering sexual harassment as one of the most prevalent risks in academic circles. The profession of social service works in all its integrated as well as artistic methods on the basis of goals, philosophy and ethical standards in many areas, including: the field of youth care. It is especially concerned with the study of youth and their attitudes and values and problems with an interest in the youth issues and their connection to the social context and Economic and political aspects of the society in order to limit their problems and help them to prevent these predictable or anticipated problems, including the problem of sexual harassment. The perspective of general practice in social work is a comprehensive perspective as it deals with the problem of sexual harassment due to the seriousness of this problem and the complexity of the community cannot be addressed at the level of direct interaction with individuals only, but the best way to address the strong confrontation of the community with all its systems and different contexts of this problem. In this sense, the importance of the general practitioner’s use of the general practice perspective is illustrated by its models and scientific inputs through professional intervention in dealing with young people to prevent them from sexual harassment. Therefore, social workers must possess as practitioners and professionals the scientific and cognitive base. They also have the ability to apply this knowledge with skill and experience that qualifies them to perform many different professional roles. Therefore, the researcher’s mind has turned to conduct a semi-empirical study to find out the impact of a professional intervention program from the perspective of general practice to develop the professional skills of social workers to alleviate the problem of sexual harassment among university youth. |
