Abstract New synthesis of 2-Amino-4-aryl-6-substituted-pyridine-3,-5-dicarbonitrile derivatives through one-pot multicomponent reactions by reacting varieties of aromatic aldehydes with malononitrile and different primary amines, using different molecular ratio and different reaction conditions to achieve considerable product yields. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data and elemental analysis. The synthesized products showed potent activities as corrosion inhibitors of steel. In continuation of our work, Pyridine enaminonitrile derivatives used as a key starting material for preparation of some of important new pyridine and fused pyridine derivatives which have a high biological activity and studies their pharmaceutical activities as anticancer agent. |
