Abstract

The present investigation of some protozoal blood parasitic diseases among wild Clarias gariepinus, cultured Cyprinus. Carpio and cultured Oreochromis. Niloticus was carried out . A total number of 350 fishes were collected seasonally . In addition ,65 fishes used for cross experimentally infection and treatment The results showed that Protozoal blood parasites exhibited dramatic changes in haemogram on the examined fishes. Cross infection of Trypanosoma mukasai from infected catfish to tilapia occurred and failed in Common carp. The best treatment for trypanosomiasis in C. gariepinus was bath treatment Artimsia annua (150ml/l for 120 minutes). Histopathological alterations is good tool for diagnosis in blood protozoal diseases in fish.
