Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of curing mode of an acetone-based adhesive system on the microtensile bond strength of resin composite to superfacial and deep dentin. In addition the effect of these adhesives systems on the hybrid layer.
Objectives:
1- To determine and compare microtensile bond strength of acetone based and solvent free self-etch adhesive.
2- To determine the effect of curing mode of acetone base adhesive system on microtensile bond strength to deep and superfacial dentin.
3- To assess the micromorphological changes at the adhesive resin dentin interface using Environmental scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM) and Nano-leakage assessment using Energy dispersive analytical X-ray (EDAX).
4- The above mentioned tests will be conducted at two different aging tests period namely 48 hours and 3 months.
