Abstract The huge number of connected devices to the communication networks and the high requested data rates inforce the designers to introduce new techniques to handle these requirements. Using heterogeneous network, device to device communication and energy harvesting nodes complicate the network structure. The research problem : This complicated structure of the networks besides using energy harvesting relays make the resource allocation very complex. New distributed resource allocation methods which give lower complexity must be introduced The research aims to study user association, resource blocks allocation and power control in multitier heterogeneous network which use device to device communication and energy harvesting relays by using low complexity methods such as stable matching and auction. The research conclusion : An algorithm for user association, resource blocks allocation and power control when considering the energy harvesting relays in heterogeneous multi-tier network is proposed. This work introduces a centralized solution using time sharing strategy and a distributed low complexity solution using stable matching theory and auction. The proposed algorithm converges in few number of iterations, and gives suboptimal solution with significant complexity reduction. Also, the effect of using relay assisted D2D communication is investigated. The stable matching based algorithm is compared with the auction algorithm. Finally, resource allocation in single relay cell is implemented while taking the interference from D2D users on cellular users into consideration. |
