Abstract Prosthetic obturator is the primary method employed in rehabilitating larger maxillary defects. To improve stability and retention, osseo-integrated implants are used in association with different attachment systems. This in-vitro study was carried out to show the effect of locator and ball attachments on peri - implant stresses induced during loading of implant retained unilateral total maxillectomy obturator. A cast obtained from an impression of an edentulous patient with total hemi-maxillectomy to simulate the real situation. |
