Abstract The present study was carried out at a private poultry farm under supervision of Animal Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, during the period from Feb to April 2017 to study the influence of dietary Moringa oleifera leaves meal in diet on performance and some physiological traits of Japanese quail.A total of 948 one-day-old Japanese quail chicks (Coturnix coturnix japonica) of both sexes were used in this experiment. They were divided randomly into a control group and three treatment groups each containing 237 chicks. Each group was divided into three replicates with 79 chicks in each. The first group was considered as a control group and fed the basal diet only, while the other groups fed on the basal diet supplemented with Moringa oleifera leaves as follows:Control Basal diet 125 mg Moringa Basal diet + 125mg Moringa oleifera leaves /kg diet 250 mg Moringa Basal diet + 250 mg Moringa oleifera leaves /kg diet 500 mg Moringa Basal diet + 500mg Moringa oleifera leaves /kg diet. |
