Abstract The main objectives of this work are: Most of oxide glasses containing V2O5 are of structure, properties and technological interests. This is may be due to their extended structure, semiconducting, magnetic and optical characteristics which arise from electron transition between the two valence states of vanadium ions. In this study, effect of addition of metal oxide (V2O5) on structural properties of modified silicate glasses has been studied to account and determine the structural role of V2O5 both in branches of glasses and glass ceramics. In this thesis, several trials have been done to determine the structural role of V2O5 upon changing glass composition. Specifically, NMR Nuclear Magnetic Resonance analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD). Beside, Transmission Electron microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) and some in vitro investigations. The presented study showed that: getting a new material with duel usage as orthopedic and in the same time orthodontic field This target has been progressed by adding a new metal oxide (V2O5). |
