Abstract
This study is mainly concerned with the application of Corpus Linguistics and Feminist Linguistics to J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series in an attempt to investigate whether Rowling’s literary work is stereotypical or feminist and gender equal in portraying male and female characters, and whether Rowling is balanced in representing males and females and in devoting narrative spaces to them throughout the series.
