Abstract
The present study mainly focuses with effect of the mineralogical composition and geochemical characteristics on the radioactivity of the various basement rocks at Gabal El-Dob area, northern Eastern Desert. The study area is bounded by Latitudes 26o 40’ and 26o 50’ N and Longitudes 33o 20’ and 33o 30’ E. It comprises an area of approximately 265 Km2. The studied area is characterized by rugged topography due to presence of high mountains.
