Abstract
The present study was carried out at the Experimental Farm of the Rice Research and Training Center (RRTC), Sakha, Kafr EL-Sheikh, Egypt, and Laboratory of Genetics Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University, Egypt. during the three successive rice growing seasons, 2012, 2013, and 2014, to study the inheritance of allelopathic activity, some morphological, yield and its components traits, of some rice genotypes. During 2012 season, one hundred lines of each cross with their parents and the check variety were used as F3 generation selected from F2, as individual plants from previous study. During 2013 season, one hundred lines from the two crosses with their parents and the check variety were used F4 generation. During 2014 season, one hundred lines of selected from the same crosses as F5 generation, in randomized complete block design with three replications, sowing in the nursery at the last week of May, the seedling were transplanted after 30 days at a spacing of 20 x 20 cm, under natural infestation of conditions, then selected ten lines with allelopathic effect from each cross to screening under laboratory conditions and molecular evaluation by using ten SSR markers.
