Abstract Background Learning disability is a general term that describes specific kinds of learning problems. A learning disability can cause a person to have trouble learning and using certain skills. The skills most often affected are: reading, writing, listening, speaking, reasoning, and doing math. Other terms are used to describe certain difficulties as dyslexia which refers to difficulties in reading, dysgraphia which refers to difficulties in writing; and dyscalculia which refers to difficulties in math. These are considered learning disabilities. Aim of the work was to construct an Arabic training program for remediating Arabic speaking dysgraphic children. Patients and methods A quasi experimental study (pre-post-test) was applied on twenty cases that had attended the Phoniatric Unit Ain-Shams University complaining of learning disability having dysgraphia with or without dyslexia. Results The constructed program showed significant results in remediating dysgraphia. Conclusion Using multisensory approach in the Arabic dysgraphia training program is an effective in the training of different type of dysgraphia |
