Abstract
The present work suggests different spectrophotometric methods
for the determination of
some antihypertensive drugs such as
irbesartan, losartan, bis
oprolol and hydrochlorothiazide which
are
used for
tr
eatment high blood pressure and
prevent
in
g
the pr
oblems
of hypertension, such as
stroke and myocardial infraction.
These methods provide simple, sensitive and inexpensive
analytical procedures for estimation of the pure drugs and
pharmaceutical formulations without interference from common
excipients.

f the tools
of this study.
This method was concerned with simultaneous separation and
determination of mixture of atenolol, losartan and candesartan in their
pure forms and the method was applied for determination of these
compounds in
presence of degradation products of candesartan
.
The plan of the work comprises application of the proposed
methods on drug products, validation of the methods and
statistical
comparison with the reported or reference methods.
