Abstract
1 Flavobacterium columnaris is one of dangerous bacterial disease affecting African catfish (Calarias garpineus) (El-Manzala farm) in at Dakahlia governorate. 2- The rate of mortality among fish infected experimentally with F. columnare has been reported to increase when skin scratching and reached up 50%. 3- Columnaris disease causes degeneration for gills and necrosis in skin and gill with erosion in dorsal fins. 4- The antibiogram of the isolated strains was carried out and revealed that the isolated strains tested were sensitive to erythromycin, gentamicin, streptomycin, tetracycline, kanamycin and resistance to neomycin and colisitin and pencillin.
