This study is an attempt to find out the role of modern communication technology in activating the public relations activity within the service organizations, specifically in the High Commission for the Libyan Elections. Communication technology affects positively or negatively the effectiveness of the public relations activity within the institutions according to availability and effective use by the staff of the relations department Which is considered one of the most important departments within these institutions because of its activities and different functions, primarily the function of communication with its diverse audiences. Based on the above, and in view of the urgent need for the availability of effective technological public relations, the researcher conducted a scientific study; to identify the role of communication technology in the performance of public relations. Hence, the problem of the study was confined to the following main question:What is the role of modern communication technology in the performance of public relations within the High Electoral Commission of Libya? The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 100 individuals, especially the employees of the High Commission for the Libyan Elections, to the internal public using the regular random sampling method and 25 items, especially the public relations practitioners and staff of the High Commission for the Libyan Elections. Due to the small number, where the study belongs to descriptive studies, a study of reality, and analysis. The study aimed to answer a number of questions and hypotheses in order to achieve new scientific value in this field.
