Abstract This study was conducted to enhance the vegetative growth, fruits yield and chemical constituents of coriander and fennel plants, in a trial to reducing the residual effects of the chemical fertilizers. Two methods for Moringa leaf extract (cold or boiled extract) with different dilutions (25, 50, 75 and 100%) beside the distilled water as the control were used. The results cleared that the superior plant height and umbel number per hill recorded using the cold MLE at 100%. Herb fresh and dry weights, NPK% were recorded by using the boiled MLE at 100%. In addition the highest value of seed index recorded by using the boiled MLE at 75%. In addition the maximum essential oil percentage was recorded by using the cold or the boiled MLE at 100%. Moreover, linalool was the main component in the essential oil of the coriander and estragole was the main component in the fennel plants when the GLC was performed in coriander and fennel plants. |
