Abstract the Facha Member is hydrocarbon bearing. The well logging data and some core analysis have been interpreted to give an idea about some of the reservoir characteristics of the Facha Member. In an attempt to meet the purpose of this study, all the data available were used. These data include; wireline well log data, represented by resistivity, gamma ray, sonic, neutron, and density logs. Also information from core samples at some wells are used to calibrate the well log data. These logs were also used to construct structural maps. The logs were also used and analyzed every half feet interval to estimate the porosity, fluid saturation, net pay thickness and hydrocarbon pore volume of the Facha reservoir, specially (C) interval. Structurally the filed is traversed by many parallel faults forming high and low structures. The source rock is probably Sirt Shale of (Upper Cretaceous), and the cap rock for Facha reservoir is Evaporite of Hon Member (Lower Eocene). |
