Abstract In this study one thousand and three hundreds twenty seven quarter milk samples were collected from apparently healthy 343 lactating buffaloes. Samples were subjected to CMT, SCC, chemical constituents analysis,bacteriological examination and PCR. CMT showed that 622 (46.87%) out of 1327 examined raw quarter milk samples were positive, The mean value of SCC/ml recorded as 2.69 X 105± 3.42 X 103 . Culture examination samples showed that 198(31.83%) and 24(3.85%) suspected to have Klebsiella and Salmonella, respectively. Fifty nine representative Klebsiella isolates were subjected to PCR where 36(61.02%) identified as Klebsiella 20(33.9%) as K.pneumoniea and 16(27.1%) identified as other spp. of Klebsiella. The 24 isolates subjected to PCR and 13(54.17%) identified as Salmonella typhimurim. |
