Abstract
Compare between the 2mm conventional plate and screws and the 2mm locking plate and locking head screws in treating two lines of linear mandibular fracture to determine:-
The degree of stability across the fracture lines based on clinical and radiographic finding.
Reduce the time needed for postoperative MMF after completion of osteosynthesis.
Allow early active mobilization of the lower jaw.
Reduce the risk of infection across the fracture line results from screw loosening.
Reduce the timing of the operation with satisfactory results.
