The objective of this study is to Determine which strategies are favourite for the pupils(over-and under-achievers) academically of primary stage in solving problems in mathematics. The sample of the study consisted of (693) pupils from 6 primary schools at Meniat El-Nasr educational administration in Dakhlia governorate. The Instruments study included, Non-verbal intelligence test (picture A).(By Atia Hanna),.An achievement test in mathematics for the six grade.(By researcher),A strategies of solving problems test in mathematics. (By researcher), findings of the study were as follows: 1-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils (over-and under-achievers) academically in the use of the strategies of solving problems in mathematics in favour of the experience of the teacher. 2-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the used strategies in solving every problem of the problems of the test of the strategies of solving problems in terms of the level of achievement(over-and under-achievers). 3-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils (over-and under-achievers) academically in every strategy of the strategies of solving problems in mathematics, the topic of study. 4-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils of teachers with different experience (low/high) in the use of the strategies of solving problems in mathematics. 5-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils (over-and under-achievers) academically in the use of the strategies of solving problems in mathematics in favour of the specialization of the teacher. 6-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils of teachers with different specializations(specialist – non specialist) in the use of the strategies of solving problems in mathematics. 7-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils (over-and under-achievers) academically in the kind of the strategies of solving problems (special – general) the topic of the study. 8-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils (over-and under-achievers) academically in the use of the different strategies in solving geometrical problems. 9-There is a significant statistical difference among the repetitions of the pupils (over-and under-achievers) academically in the use of the different strategies in solving algebra problems.
