Abstract

The present work was performed to demonstrate the effect of two antibiotics( tilmicosin and florfenicol) on the tissue residues in broiler chickens and their effect on haematological parameters and cardiac enzymes.
In this study, 105 Healthy Hubbard broiler chickens, average weight from 1100-1200 gm were used. Chickens were grouped into three groups (35 birds for each group): First group: was kept as control group. Second group: given tilmicosin (30mg /kg b.wt) for 3 consecutive days orally Five chickens were slaughtered at 1st , 3rd , 5th , 7th , 9th , 14th and 21st day following the last oral dose. Samples from liver, breast muscle and kidney were taken from slaughtered chickens for drug assay. Blood samples with EDTA were obtained (2 ml) from wing vein at 1st ,3rd ,5th and 7th day following the last oral dose for blood parameters determination. Another 3 ml of blood were obtained for serum samples from each chicken at 1st ,3rd and 5th for estimation of heart enzymes (CK.MB, LDH, AST and Troponin I). Third group: given florfenicol (40mg /kg b.wt) for 3 consecutive days orally. Five chickens were slaughtered at 1st , 3rd , 5th , 7th , 9th , 14th and 21st day following the last oral dose. Samples from liver, breast muscle and kidney were taken from slaughtered chickens for drug assay.
