Abstract • Cicer arietinum root in presence of P. capillacea and J. rubens extracts exhibited the longer length, but it is noticed that J. rubens extract expressed the highest shoot length. • The number of leaves and lateral roots increased depending on the type of seaweed extract. J. rubens extract induced the highest number of leaves and lateral roots compared with those appeared in presence of P. capillacea, and J. rubens extracts • The total protein content in C. arietinum leaves increased with the increase in the concentration of seaweed extracts up to 100,200,400 v/v with J. rubens, U. lactuca and P. capillacea extracts, respectively. • The total ascorbate content in C. arietinum leaves increased with the increase in the concentration of seaweed extracts up to 100 v/v of P. capillacea extract and 500 v/v of J. rubens and U. lactuca extracts, respectively. |
