Abstract

this Study about The Wall Paintings of the Elite Hypogea in Alexandria within the Ptolemaic Period : A Case Study in Cultural Interaction and identity as Reflected in Art so it contains Introduction : Research objectves, historical Overview, The Elite hypogea of Alexandria, previous scholarship.
- It also contains Catalogue of the wall Paintings : The eastern Necropolis, Chatby Cemetery, Sidi Gaber Necropolis, mustapha Pasha Necropolis, the tombs of Pharos Island.
- Thematic and Stylistic and Analysis : The Thematic classification, the classification of the painted figures and elements : Deities, pharaonic,symbols, the traditional Egyptian Style and contains The relation between the funeray wall painting and cultural identity of the Alexandrian society in ptolemaic Period and conclusion.
