Abstract Diabetic persons is a group of patients that has been associated with high levels of glucose in the blood, which is a result of defects in either the production of insulin, insulin action, or both. Diabetes is the condition that results from the lack of insulin in a person’s blood, or when their body has a problem using the insulin it produces insulin resistance. There are other kinds of diabetes, like diabetes insipidus. However, when people say ”diabetes”, they usually mean diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus (DM) means lifelong condition that affect your body’s ability to the energy found in food. It is considered as one of the most common chronic diseases in nearly all countries. cases continue to increase in numbers and significance as changing life styles lead to reduced physical activity and increased obesity. The global prevalence of DM in the year 2010 among adults has been estimated to be 6.4% (Shaw et al., 2010). It is estimated that by the year 2030, Egypt will have at least 8.6 million adults with diabetes. Diabetes is the eleventh most important cause of premature mortality in Egypt, and is responsible for 2.4% of all years of life lost.
