Abstract

Ultra High Performance Strain Hardening Cementitious Composites(UHP-SHCC) is a new strain hardening composite with outstanding mechanical and protective performance, which has large advantages on large strain capacity as well as high compressive and tensile strength that is useful for strengthening or repair concrete members. In this study, UHPSHCC was applied to RC beams as a tensile strengthening material. It was clarified that strengthening by UHP-SHCC significantly contributed to increasing the load carrying capacity and the strain hardening property enhanced the ductility behavior.
