Abstract This study was performed during the two consecutive seasons of 2013 & 2014 on Superior grapevines grown in a private vineyard located at Luxor district, Luxor Governorate where the texture of the soil is clay and the selected vines are planted at 2x 3 meters apart (700 vine/ fed). Cane pruning system was followed leaving 72 eyes / vine on the basis of six fruiting cane/ ten eyes plus six renewal spurs x two eyes. Drip irrigation method was followed. Common horticultural practices were carried out as usual. The goal of this study was examining the effect of spraying some antioxidants on growth, vine nutritional status, yield and quality of berries of Superior grapevines grown under Luxor conditions. For promoting yield and quality of the berries as well as reducing the percentage of shot berries, it is advised to spray a mixture of vitamins B (B1 + B2 + B6 + B12) at 50 ppm, ascorbic acid at 500 ppm and citric acid at 500 ppm three times at growth start, just after berry setting and at one month later. |
