Abstract
Three hitherto new di-O-xylosyl-C-glycosyl flavones were isolated from the leaves of C. ferrea. Besides, 11 known compounds were characterized as well. The structures of all compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D -NMR and HR-ESIMS. On the other hand, the in vitro antioxidant activity using the oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) method of the extract, and two of the isolated compounds were accomplished; cytotoxicity of the extract using HaCaT cells and in vitro and in vivo hypolipidemic activity of C. ferrea leaves extract revealed hypolipidemic effect.
