Abstract Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the most common psychiatric disorder of childhood and adolescence. More than any other disorder, ADHD is highly comorbid with other psychiatric disorders. Comorbidity greatly influences presentation, diagnosis, and prognosis; complicates treatment; and significantly increases the morbidity and disease burden of ADHD. Recent guidelines for assessment and management of ADHD recommended search for comorbidities in clinical assessment of ADHD. Although ADHD is one of the best-researched disorders in medicine, up to our knowledge, there are no existing clinical studies of ADHD in Kuwait. This is the first such study among Kuwaiti students. |
