Abstract Evaluation of effect of L-alanyl L-glutamine dipeptide on outcome of patients of gastro-intestinal cancer surgery.The aim of the study to compare between peri-operative and only postoperative use of L-alanyl L-glutamine on patients of gastro-intestinal cancer surgery complaining of mild to moderate malnutrition, and its effect on immune indices, blood glucose control, Albumin level, and postoperative complications.In conclusion, peri-operative use of L-alanyl L-glutamine leads to lesser incidence of postoperative complications, better immune indices, increased Albumin level, and better blood glucose control.Key words. |
