Abstract INTRODUCTION AND AIM OF WORK \·arious blood disorders can affect the pediatric age group. These blood disorders are classified according to each of blood components and the reticulonodular system. The first group is diseases pr-imarily invo]·.,.·ing red blood cells. In infant, red marrow ex1:end throughout the medullary :a·,.·ities of t1-.e whole ske:eton. In the first few months red cells are produced also by liver and spleen. As the physio:ogical requirements for erythrocyte production diminishes progressivel:v· during the years of growth, a cessation of this function occurs in the liver and spleen and red :narrow area .h L~~e percphers.l s~”-eletorr. ~:~-- the age or .20 years red marrow is normally confined to the ~roxima~ ends of femora and humeri and to the axial skele:on r6sidual areas of fatty non hematopoietic as well as the liver and spleen ~ay be reactivated as the ~eed c.:-ise. The second group is disorders primarily involving white blood cells. This group include leukemia and lyl!lphomas. Leukemia affect children almost invariably by acute form. It is a generalized neoplastic disorders of blood forming tissues primarily those of leukocytic ser1es. |
