Abstract The present work included 50 mon pregnant female (vaginal Swabs), 100 pregnant female vaginal, anorectal, throat swabs) and 5 cases of puerperal repsis (vaginal Swabs) for the possible isolation of group B streptoco cci. Our results revealed tkt8% of normal (non pregnent)females were catcying gp B streptococci vaginaily, and the presence of GBS in t h e female gecitaltrac t wes not zcconpanied with av clinical signs and syxptorns of urogenital infect ions such as dysurie, urethrs or vag Fxldis cherge. |
