Abstract survey revealed the occurrence of 52 mite species belonging to (38) genera in (25) families belonging to 2 orders: Parasitiforms and Acariformes. The gamasid mite Amblyseiushutu (Prichard & Baker) was reared on five different types of food; first nymph and egg of Parlatoriablanchardii (Targ.) (date scale insect), fungus Fusariumoxysporum,immatures and eggs of Oligonychusafrasiaticus (McGregor) (old world date mite), At laboratory conditions (30°c and 75% R.H). Finally the entomopathoginic fungiBeauveriabassiana was evaluated in the field against the serious pest RaoiellaindicaHirst (Family: Tenuipalpidae) in order to help farmers to select safe mite control alternatives. |
