Abstract
Oxidized Low - Density Lipoprotein ( ox - LDL ) is a marker of cardiovascular disease , the purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of ox - LDL in patients with chronic periodontitis as well as the effect of non - surgical periodontal therapy on ox - LDL serum levels . This study was conducted on 48 subjects ; 18 patients with documented cardiaovascular disease along with chronic periodontitis systemic dieases ( group II ) , and 15
subjects as a control group without periodontitis or any other known systemic diseases ( group II )
