Abstract This study aimed at identifying the impact of empowerment on job satisfaction in Luxor’s hotels. The study utilized a descriptive analytical method since it is one of the most methods commonly used in the study of social phenomena and to achieve the objectives of the study. The study found that the empowerment system contributes effectively to job satisfaction of Luxor’s hotels staff. Empowerment system reduces staff turnover and helps in spreading of team spirit. Again this system adds extra burden on employees, especially at the five, the four and the three star hotels. The study reveals that there is no suitable assigned power needed to the empowered employees to do their work, especially at five, two and one star hotels. The study recommended the need to give the employees good role in sharing opinions with the decision making process. In addition, it recommended that managers should give employees the power needed to work. The study recommended that training employees periodically to handle new tasks and duties owing to the powerful effect on making the empowerment process successful which leads to decreasing the extra burden to employees due to empowerment. |
