Abstract The use of antimicrobials in poultry feed has been curtailed due to concerns of bacterial antibiotic resistance. Alternatives to the use of antibiotics in poultry feed should be aggressively evaluated under field conditions. Probiotics is good alternative candidates. Probiotics defined as “live organisms which when administered in adequate amounts confer a health benefit of the host. In this study, aspecial emphasis was directed to state using of probiotic as feed additives instead of antibiotics as zinc bacitracin. The study was conducted on seventy chickens were classified into four groups. Two groups formed from twenty chickens and anther two group formed from fifteen chickens. First group (control group or G1) formed from twenty chickens were fed on ration free from probiotic and antibiotic. Second group (G2) formed from twenty chickens were fed on experimental ration containing antibiotic zinc bacitracin (200 gm/ton). Third group (G3) chickens in this group were fed on experimental ration containing probiotic in a dose (250gm/ton) called (clostacore). Fourth group G4) chicken in this group were fed on experimental ration containing antibiotic zinc bacitracin and growth promoter probiotic. The efficacy were evaluated by Biochemical parameters , body weight gain, Histopathological examination and Real time polymerase chain reaction (rtPCR). We could be concluded that administration of probiotic caused a significant increase in serum calcium and phosphorus and a significant decrease in total cholesterol ,TAG, albumin and albumin / globulin ratio. on contrary ,there was anon significant change in body weight, HDL-C, LDL-C, total protein and globulin serum levels in addition to AST and ALT activities. Probiotic can be used as a safe food additives instead antibiotics like zinc bacitracin to avoid bacterial resistence. |
