Abstract
In our study we found 2 schizophrenic patients with
probable cognitive impairment by Mini-Mental state
examination (MMSE) (one under typical antipsychotics &
the other under atypical antipsychotics) .
• It had been observed no relation between the dose & the
extent of cognitive impairments
• There were no correlation with the educational level.
• However comparing the 2 groupS of the schizophrenic
patients with (typical & atypical antipsychotics) no
significant finding were observed using steady state
Visual Evoked Potential (ssVEPs).
• In our study no PlOO deficit wer~ observed, may be I

explained by the limited electrode mpnitoring.
• In our study we had found prolong~d P600 interval, also

with no statistic significant diffetences between the 2
groups.
