Abstract Due to the increasing importance of the role played by pseudomonasas animportant pathogen causing serious infections in birds, animals, fish and human beings, the present study was conducted for studying Pseudomonas pyocyanea micro-organism of poultry. A total of 1280 samples were obtained from apparently healthy 250 and ailing chickens 1030, samples were also obtained from diseased turkeys and ducks 450 and 350 respectively). All samples were cultured on ordinary media, pseudomonas base agar and hektoen enteric agar and were incubated at 37 C for 24 hours. The isolates were identified on the basis of cultural characters, microscopical examination and biochemical reactions. The present results revealed the isolation of pseudomonas pyocyanea in 2.7% from apparently healthy chickens, 6.7% from diseased chickens, 4.4% and 3.4% from diseased turkeys and ducks, respectively. They included a higher rate of anal spaces to isolate the microbe in healthy chicks which 6% and liver samples in diseased chickens 9.5% and 8% Russians patient.
