Abstract the pressent work was planned to study the incitants of root-rots of broad bean in assiut governorate and the effect of certain factors on their growth and sporulation in vitro. Studies carried also to clearify the reaction of broad bean cultivars to the disease, effect of soil type and inorganic fertilization on disease incidence and biological and chemical control of the disease. The obtained results of the present work could be summarized in the following: 1- Fusarium graminearum. F. semitectum and Rhizoctonia solani are responsible for broad been seedling damping-off and root-rot in Assiut governorate. 2- The optimum level of inocula for the three fungi is 5% of soil weight. 3- The highest percentage of disease incidence occured when soil was infested with the causal fungi before sowing. 4- In vitro, the greatest linear growth and maximum dry weight of mycelia of the three fungi occurred on the patato Dextrose Agar medium. |
