Abstract

Some of the united arab emirates (UAE) reservvoirs under exploration and\or development have shown tight conditions of petrophysical properties, porosity and permeability as indicated in their core analysis and log interpretations. these unconventional reservoirs require special treatments by unconventional fracturing acidizing processes with horizontal well application. Theobjectives of this fields application review, technology applications sinolation investigations and experimental core analysis can be classified into five major folds in cluding (1) presenting core analysis and reservoir characterization(2) performing a simulation study using commercial simulator to investigate the effects of horizontal well length and facture points versus vertical well performance(3) field applications of the attained results from the previously listed task (4) development of a systematic new strategy for acid fracturing in exploration and appraisal phases considering the economic optimization and (5) create a new correlation the economic optimization, and create a new correlation and classification for tight reserviors.
